WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff's Dallas Office is looking of a Senior Supervising Civil Engineer who is enthusiastic and motivated in continuing their career in engineering, and mentoring other engineers to reach their potentials and goals. The supervision of design work will include providing civil design and leading preliminary and final engineering tasks, and other related duties. You will be responsible for managing and supervising civil, highway, and transportation projects on medium to large scale highway and transit projects. The design and supervision of work will include geometric studies, preliminary engineering, final engineering, plan production, drainage design, construction staging, quantity calculations, estimates, client interface and coordination and other related engineering/managing duties. The person will also be involved in business development and providing technical support in responding to RFP's and RFQ's for municipal and TxDOT projects. The candidate will work with and supervise a team of highly qualified engineers and technicians on these and other transportation projects. The position will perform engineering duties and tasks regarding conceptual designs associated with preliminary engineering, and Plan, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E), and design development associated with final engineering. The position will also involve developing drainage, roadway, signing and striping, MOT and staging concepts and final plans associated highway improvements. Having the ability to use Microstation, GEOPAK, In-Roads, and other engineering software will be an integral part of the design work. This position also includes working in a team environment, which will provide you with multiple professional opportunities.

Job Requirements
      • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of civil/highway engineering experience regarding the development and preparation of preliminary and final engineering plans and contract documents
      • A strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices and excellent knowledge of TxDOT or state DOT design standards and requirements
      • Extensive experience and knowledge regarding the use of Microstation and GEOPAK engineering software is preferred. Experience with Excel, Microsoft Word, and other software is preferred. The candidate who has served as a project manager role is a must.
      • B.S.C.E. from an accredited university or college
      • A Texas P.E. license is required
      • The candidate should also be precertified in the various categories listed with TxDOT
      • The select candidate must be able to work in the United States immediately on a full time basis.
