Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 p/a DOE

Working shift pattern:
(For the first 6 months training)
6am - 2pm Mon-Fri 40 hours
2pm - 10pm Mon-Fri 40 hours
After 6 months hours increase to 50 p/w (any overtime paid accordingly)

(There is a night shift fitter who works 9pm to 7am (4 nights) 40 hours, this shift would need to be covered when they are off).

Our client is looking for a hands on flexible maintenance fitter/engineer and as part of a maintenance and production team to produce a first class product, to agreed quality and productivity levels and at optimum cost.

To cooperate with managers, team leaders and senior team leader in the development and implementation of policy and procedures in order to achieve an excellent safety record with the aim of eliminating accidents and incidents.
To work with managers, support functions and operational teams to identify and implement continuous improvement methods with respect to safety, product quality productivity and cost.
To build and maintain effective relationships both within the local manufacturing teams, and with non-manufacturing colleagues to ensure excellence in terms of customer service.

To be successful in this application you will need:
Be a good team player
Knowledge of PC based systems
Logical fault diagnostics
Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering qualification
Self motivated and conscientious
Strong Environmental Health and Safety awareness and certifications
Previous experience in TPM/PPM systems
Experience working with hydraulic and Pneumatic equipment
Data collation, analysis and report or presentation
Previous experience welding
Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing maintenance areas
