Warehouse Shift Manager, Amesbury, Permanent
Up to £41,558, 37.5 hours per week
5 days out of 7 based on an alternating shift pattern of 6.00am-2.00pm and 2.00pm-10.00pm

Our client based in Amesbury are urgently recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Manager to join their busy team. The successful applicant will have excellent experience of working within a fast paced distribution centre and will enjoy leading a large warehouse team and possess excellent operational ability. The role will involve working an alternating weekly shift pattering covering 5 days out of 7.

Job Duties:
-Lead a large warehouse team within a busy distribution centre environment
-To monitor staff KPI's and suggest when improvements need to be made
-Assist with managing across a 24/7 operation to include warehouse staff and support teams
-To take responsibility for recruitment, training and ongoing assessments of staff
-To work in conjunction with other operational teams to ensure the site runs smoothly
-To work well within a busy environment and demonstrate a track record of performance improvement techniques
-To work within tight time frames and be an excellent communicator across all levels

Person Specification:
-Experience as a warehouse or shift manager in a fast paced environment is essential
-Strong communication and written skills are essential to this role
-The successful applicant must be commercially focused, analytical and task orientated in their approach to work
-Experience of working and managing within a unionised environment is preferable
-The successful applicant will be a strong team player and demonstrate natural leadership qualities and the ability to motivate their team
-Strong operational understanding is also important for the role as is the ability to influence teams and build rapport
