Bid Manager - London

An Industry leading Services provider is currently looking for a Bid Manager. Salary up to £55,000 + Company Car Allowance, Private Healthcare, pension scheme and Commission on project performance.

Responsibilities to include:

Assemble and project manager the internal bid team required to prepare a winning, executable and profitable bid. This will typically involving contributions from Business Development and Subject Matter Experts including supply chain, finance, commercial, legal, operational delivery and graphics
Create and implement a project plan to deliver bid requirements on time; monitor and report on bid progress against plan and budget
Ensure the timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids
Maintain a risks/ issues/ opportunities register and ensure these are shared at relevant meetings and reviews
Support the BDD / BDM in developing bid strategies, winning themes and service delivery solutions
Understand and facilitate the resolution of complex technical, strategic and business issues
Contribute to the written proposal, both in terms of content and presentation
Ensure all client questions have been answered, reviewed and signed-off
Successfully navigate bids through the internal governance process and
Obtain relevant approvals at each stage of the procurement
Manage all submission internal reviews and post bid reviews with clients
Ensure smooth hand over of successful bids to the mobilisation and operational teams
Liaise with the client during the bid stages as required
Respond to client clarification questions promptly and submit questions as needed
Share information from the client with the bid team to inform proposals and approach
Manage the proposal review process prior to submission to ensure a complete and high quality submission is delivered
Ensure proposal documents are printed/ uploaded to the agreed quality and timescales
Ensure bid production is completed within the agreed budget
Develop and maintain proposal document templates in line with company branding
Manage collaborative workspace for proposals
Ensure continuous refreshment of the Bid Library with the latest bid and company information, proposal content and examples of best practice
The Successful candidate must ideally be able to demonstrate:

Proven capability of project managing the delivery of work winning, multi-million pound product or complex services opportunities. This includes the ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
Self motivated/ self reliant and able to work without constant direction and guidance
Good team worker, reliable and able to rapidly establish a high degree of trust, rapport and gain co-operation from the bid team
Strong attention to detail; maintaining high standards for delivery, quality and accuracy
Confident and articulate in all communications i.e. face-to-face, telephone and written communications
Ability to coordinate and write the production of a wide range of bid documentation including executive summaries, method statement, responses to bid questions etc.
Confidence to deal with all levels of management seniority up to MD / main board directors and the ability to adapt communication and messages to different audiences
Demonstrates strong commercial acumen and ability to gather information to support commercial decisions
Management of internal governance procedures
