Assembly Project Engineer|

Salary: £32,500 to rise to £34,500 after 6 months
SHIFTS: Monday to Thursday 8.30 till 17.00
Friday 8.30 till 15.30
Senior Assembly Engineer
Provide engineering level support to the shift and technicians to ensure that the optimal performance of the assembly manufacturing area is achieved.
Introduce new project into assembly from feasibility stage through to production
Keep track of both customer and supplier timing plans and schedules
Keep within project budget
Understanding of work balance
Produce documentation: FMEA, work instruction, job element sheets and parameter sheets.
Commission new tooling and optimise settings
In partnership with the Assembly managers, understand or define the optimal performance level of each manufacturing cell and provide engineering support to achieve targets
Monitor / report and improve cell up time to optimal levels
Ensure the targets stated from new cell introduction are achieved or project managed
To provide trouble-shooting and technical support for the shift.
To train operators with new machinery, products and methods.
To have an awareness of health and safety standards and ensure they are maintained at all times by all employees and contractors.
To communicate by written and verbal means using the Company communication channels to ensure the understanding of colleagues and management.
To have an active involvement in improvement activities to support the achievement of departmental and company objectives.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Experience with multiple application of assembly equipment for high volume components.
Experience in project management or manufacturing engineering (preferred both but not essential).
ONC / HNC in engineering electrically bias or mechanical bias (preferred both but not essential).
For EU roles, candidates must be eligible to work and live in the European Union.
