An exciting new opportunity due to expansion is available for a model maker / animation engineer with an electrical bias to join my client who are a leader in model making and animation. The ideal candidate will have experience in automation systems run by PLC and HMI and be educated to a relevant Electronic/Electrical engineering qualification or proven work experience with specialty in control systems and experience in maintaining and making small hardware/software changes to control systems. |
The successful model maker / animation engineer will report to the model shop manager and be responsible for designing and building controls for world class animations, creating movement, light and special effects for models. Create programs and wire animations into controls. Ensuring all animations and control cabinets are fully tested before delivery. Provide materials and labour costs for animations and ensure budgets are met. Develop creative new animation ideas.
Electronic/Electrical engineering qualification or proven work experience with specialty in control systems.
Proven knowledge of automation systems run by PLC and HMI
Read CAD drawings relating to animations as well as electrical schematics
Basic electronic calculations for example Ohm's law
Skilled in working with electronics.
Produce budgets for each project and understand labour and materials calculations
Experience using precision tools of the trade
Create electrical documentation
Occasional International travel
Salary £28k - £31k
