Senior Process Control Engineer|
+ Provide software and hardware support. This will include, but not limited to:
- Fault identification and interface to Engineering & T&P.
- Ensure the processes are optimised by improvements to the software implemented.
- Ensure all changes are controlled and corporate/legal requirements in the software area are addressed.
+ Work with EDO project disciplines, Term Contract personnel and HMC's staff to deliver capital & revenue projects on time, on budget, as per design intent and safety.
+ Follow Safe Systems of Work for daily activities, providing the highest HSEQ standards.
+ Maintain and wherever possible improve the performance of the computer NA that the changes are implemented within agreed timescales and meet the agreed performance parameters.
+ Devise and implement control strategies to overcome production bottlenecks identified by Production Management.
+ Ensure system repairs, temporary and permanent modifications, and improvements are implemented in a safe and secure manner.
+ Manage the interface between engineering, production and process control systems and have a thorough appreciation of each.
+ Diagnose process control problems and provide solutions.
+ To interface with plant and site engineering functions in compliance with engineering NA technical expertise to ensure that instrument application, design and operation is compatible with process control system requirements.
+ Prepare and if appropriate deliver process control system training/appreciation packages.
+ Agree, scope then manage specific projects through to complete, timely and cost effective conclusions, for maximum area and business benefit.
+ Pro-actively working with EDO teams, to assist with the co-ordination and execution of projects effectively to minimise impact on production assets.
+ To provide support to the Project Engineers and Change Engineers.
+ Manage development of PCS designs that satisfies project and site requirements.
+ To provide visible support during commissioning and after to the project and production assets.
Knowledge, Experience & Capabilities
Critical Knowledge & Experience:
+ Minimum of 5 years relevant engineering design experience in a similar role.
+ Minimum HNC in an appropriate technical discipline.
+ Understand HSEQ Standards & requirements and their application, through safe systems of work, to facilitate working on a Top Tier COMAH site.
+ An in depth knowledge of the relevant engineering systems, equipment & procedures.
+ Chemical Batch Unit Operations.
+ Real Time Computing.
+ Process Control & Protection.
+ Control Engineering experience using Siemens PCS7 and Allen Bradley control systems.
+ Control Engineering experience of Batch Process Automation.
+ Translate Process Engineering requirements into software code.
+ Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
+ Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work.
