We are working with a large national provider of hire equipment who are currently recruiting for a field service engineer maintaining and servicing plant equipment in the London/Home County area.|
The Role is typically field based visiting customer's sites for planned and preventative maintenance and/or to attend to breakdown issues. There may however be occasions when you will be required to work from the depot.
Responsibilities will include
Responsible for repair and maintenance of all types of machinery from 1.5t mini diggers to 35t excavators, 4m to 20m tele-handlers, as well as dumpers, rollers and rotos.
You need to be self-motivated and be able to turnaround machines quickly with accuracy, and you will also be responsible for ensuring the machinery is fit for hire.
Full compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and legislation.
Liaise with colleagues to optimise efficiency.
Qualifications & skills
Qualified Diesel Mechanic
NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance
Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 points
Demonstrate a full and varied knowledge of all plant
Be able to provide references to supplement your application.
Having a CSCS card would be an advantage
Good spoken and written English
Use of iPad technology
Excellent customer service skills due to interaction with customers on sites
Hours: 52.5 hours per week on shift pattern between 6am and 6pm - Some Saturday work may be required upon request
