OUR CLIENT COMPANY|
Our client specialises in security system design, installation, commissioning and maintenance for all sectors of commerce, industry and public bodies in and around the South East from their Sussex base. Their portfolio consists of a wide variety of systems including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, door entry, fire alarms, alarm management, plus a host of others. Due to success and growth, our client now seeks to appoint an experienced Alarm Installation Engineer
We will be pleased to share our client's company name after an initial screening interview.
The Fire & Intruder Alarm Installation and Service Engineer will visit client premises, installing new systems and responding to faults reported on alarms and emergency call-out basis, always aware of customer needs and service requirements and the opportunity to develop new business opportunities for the company (e.g. Service Contracts, Fire Risk Assessments).
While this is a very technical role, our client also expects their engineers to stay close to their customers and tell them what they've done and why they've done it. This job is as much about people as it is about technology.
The successful Fire & Intruder Alarm Service and Maintenance Engineer will be a qualified Service Engineer with a knowledge of current standards and legislation and able to demonstrate recent relevant experience. You will be responsible for the annual maintenance, installations, fault finding, rectifying and problem solving, commissioning and documenting etc for a wide range of fire & intruder alarm panels both addressable and conventional.
You will have excellent people skills and be able to communicate what you've done to a wide audience, both verbally and in writing. It's likely you enjoy interacting with people and see this as an important part of your responsibilities. You will also be able to organise your diary and keep your schedule in balance to allow for the occasional 'emergency' while keeping existing client needs up to date.
Applicants must have good previous Fire & Intruder Systems Service Engineering experience and good knowledge of Fire & Intruder servicing as a minimum
If you have BAFE, FIA, BS5839, BS4737, DD243, PD6662 Training, previous experience in the fire & intruder alarm industry and are passionate about delivering an excellent service then we should be talking.
You will hold a full UK driving licence.
You live within reach of an area that spreads along the south coast with East Sussex in the centre, but as this is a field based role (you will normally work from home) there is some flexibility in your location.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Annual salary is in the region of £25,000 plus overtime. A company vehicle is provided.
There will be a screening interview with Martin Ellis of Recruitment South East. There will also be 2 interviews with our client.
