If you're a Maintenance Engineer with some Automation, PLC skills, looking for more of that, but more freedom and variety too, read on.|
In this new job, you'll be diagnosing faults on Allen Bradley or Siemens S7 or Mitsubishi PLC Control Systems and Automation systems and giving support to Maintenance Engineers on customers sites.
In short-- fault finding and PLC Control Systems diagnostics, fault finding on Electrical Control Panels. Working on a wide range of UK only sites in the automotive, food, brewery, power, water industries and on some warehouse automation projects, offering call-out, breakdown and maintenance support, assistance with in-house projects.
....Mainly taking your PLC diagnostics skills learned as a Maintenance Technician to sites where it is not so readily available.
Working in a growing department in a role with a lot of variety- no two days will be the same. It could be the ideal job for an Engineer with good PLC diagnostics skills (ANY PLC OK), a knowledge of Drives, Controls, Control Panels, maybe HMI Control Systems gained as a Maintenance Engineer or Service Engineer on automated machinery or production sites- and a great move to make if you're bored of working in one factory, and want to have a bit more freedom and chance to put your PLC skills to more use, by working on several sites in a mobile role.
