Electrical Design Engineer - Contract - 2 months rolling - Cambridgeshire - £30hr|
Samuel Frank Associates require an Electrical Design Engineer to join a very well established and growing client in Cambridgeshire on a contract basis. The successful hire will ideally have AutoCAD or ePlan design experience and be happy in an office based design capacity as well as site meetings/customer facing scenarios. Experience of other well known CAD packages will also be considered
The skills and experience required includes design and build of control panels, preferably for special purpose machinery within the food production sector. Candidates with experience of drying, mixing, cleaning, weighing and sorting processes and machines could be ideal for this opportunity.
Local applicants will be considered favourably.
Key aspects of the role include -
Control panel General Arrangements and layouts, cable block diagrams, Cable / termination schedules, Bill of Materials
Produce electrical schematic diagrams, using CAD package
Produce all aspects of design /documentation for electrical assembly and wiring
Specification of drives and motor sizes
Inverter drives and MCC knowledge
Knowledge of Sistema for safety verification
The client has an immediate need so if you're immediately available or can be available in the next 1-2 weeks that will help your application considerably. Projects are rarely the same so this position will suit an individual who is flexible and looking to work across a breadth of interesting projects.
Whilst the role is being advertised as a 2 month contract, it's highly likely the role could extend.
The role is easily commutable from the following places Northampton, Leicester, Cambridge, Peterborough and Kettering.
