Our Cambridge based client is a contract design and development company providing a wide range of design, development and professional services work to its clients. In preparation for that work they need to agree a set of contractual terms with clients and suppliers. They're looking for a Contracts Manager to be a member of the team that negotiates a mutually acceptable set of terms having taken into account the specific imperatives relating to the work being undertaken. You'll need to understand technology and be commercially and legally aware. This prestigious Cambridge based company offers unrivalled benefits!

What You'll Be Doing:

* Reviewing client contracts
* Negotiating contracts with clients, by email, by telephone or face to face
* Establishing sub-contracting terms that include flow down terms from client requirements
* Advising PMs on the commercial issues relating to the use of open source software
* Creating and negotiating technology licences
* Supporting the other members of the Business Office team

What We're Looking For:

* Degree level or equivalent professional development in a technical area (for example a degree in an engineering subject)
* You'll have the ability to comprehend complex arguments relating to the structure of a set of terms and conditions and how they relate to the work being proposed
* You must be a competent verbal and written communicator with the ability to effectively argue the benefits of the company's model both internally and to clients
* Experience of, and a sound commercial approach in understanding how to balance, commercial, technical and legal requirements
* You'll be able to methodically organise a busy schedule and balance competing demands for all areas of the business
* Significant relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a scientific, engineering or technology environment
