Tooling Engineer Wolverhampton, West Midlands to c£30k

Our globally renowned client has been established for more than a century and specialise in the design, manufacture and support of a range of automation and tooling solutions for a diverse range of applications. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and highly self-motivated Tooling Engineer to complement their established and highly professional team.

Based in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands and reporting to the UK General Manager, the successful Tooling Engineer candidate will be responsible for the assembly of various tooling components from designs, undertaking build, test and installation activities on a range of new technology systems associated with automation tooling for use in the automotive industry.

Working on a "permanent days" basis (with essential flexibility to work overtime when completing installations at customer premises), you will demonstrate excellent communication and customer facing skills at all levels along with a genuine desire to progress your career within a stable and dynamic organisation, with aspirations to manage teams in the future proving distinctly advantageous.

With your ability to meticulously plan and prepare to ensure that tooling builds are completed to consistently high standards, you will also possess strong problem solving skills and a desire to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction at all times.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be IT / PC Literate and qualified to at least C&G Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), and will essentially be able to read complex engineering drawings. Use of measuring equipment would be distinctly advantageous (eg Romer Arm) although training is available for the right candidate.

You will essentially hold a full clean UK driving licence and your family circumstances will allow you work flexible hours as well as to potentially travel on occasions throughout Europe, Asia, North America, Africa and Australia.
