* Working with and evaluating external suppliers to ensure that the materials and components used in the production of the product demonstrators are fit-for-purpose and represent good value

It is essential you have:

* Experience of writing product specifications

* Experience (or understanding) of a range of manufacturing techniques/processes
* The ability to use analytical and test equipment and record data accurately
* Experience of working with and 'managing` third party suppliers

* The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* The desire to learn new skills and participate in regular training to enhance professional development
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

* A further /higher education qualification/or apprenticeship in physics, chemistry, materials science, electronics, engineering, manufacturing, product design or other related discipline
* Knowledge and use of AutoCAD or similar

Though not a pre-requisite, technical 'hands-on` practical knowledge of any of the below would be advantageous:
* Inkjet printing technology
* Composites
* Smart textiles or 'wearable` electronics
