This is a key strategic hands on position which needs to ensure the quality of the parts produced at our Manufacturing Plant meet all customer expectations. The need is to quickly and effectively take action when non-conformances are found. Maintain the quality system requirements and therefore ensure that documented practices meet the true interpretation of the quality management system standards You will work directly with the Process Engineering team and NPI Project Coordinator in the creation of new group wide products and to ensure that all new products are developed and introduced throughout the supply chain and Manufacturing facilities effectively, efficiently and in accordance with the NPI procedures.
•Creation of the manufacturing, NPI & Continuous Improvement strategy, with input from stakeholders, and working with the NPI Project Coordinator ensuring timely completion of the deliverables in line with gate reviews.
•Design, agree with stakeholders and optimise the manufacturing and test processes for new products, ensuring manufacturing costs and build targets are achieved. Operational performance KPIs will determine the success of the new product introduction.
•Promote Design for Manufacture and Assembly in new product design, using a structured process which you will develop to measure improvement versus current and competitor products.
•Participate in Design and Process FMEA's, ensuring that risks are mitigated.
•Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem solving techniques (training will be provided) for effective root cause analysis and robust Corrective and Preventive action (CAPA) techniques.
•Perform duties in accordance with quality system requirements as the voice of our customers.
•Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and NPI to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
•Lead PPM improvement plans plant wide using appropriate statistical techniques.
•Determine and apply appropriate Measurement System Analysis tools.
•Provide engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques
•Resolve quality issues of capability, tolerance, and materials related issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resource.
•Effectively communicate and reinforce our commitment to quality improvement efforts.
•Experience working within certified quality management system.
•Mechanical & Electrical aptitude (i.e. intuitive understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, PCB Processes).
•Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
•Experience in Automotive or PCB Manufacturing environments.
•Customer quality assurance experience.
•Previous auditing experience.
•In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office.
•Experience with other quality software applications beneficial. (e.g. statistical analysis)
•Tenacity to succeed within a team working project environment
