To join a small Maintenance team responsible for the continuous running of all equipment and machinery within a Custom High Pressure Diecasting and CNC machining facility.
A comprehensive working knowledge of both mechanical and electrical engineering is essential, as is an in depth knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems, PLC's and Electrical fault finding and repair. You will be involved in all aspects of installation, maintenance, repair and decommissioning of the breadth of mechanical, electrical, robotic and CNC plant utilised within the operation.

Responsibilities and tasks will vary from day to day, but typically you will be involved in:
• designing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods;
• carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults;
• diagnosing breakdown problems;
• fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly;
• carrying out quality inspections on jobs;
• liaising with client departments and other engineering, production & Quality colleagues;
• arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components;
• controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment;
• monitoring and controlling maintenance costs;
• dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs;
• improving health and safety policies and procedures;
• working with specialist equipment, such as PLC's,
• writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines;
• ensuring there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
• Hrs; Monday to Thursday 06.30 to 18.00 44hrs/week. 18 days annual leave in addition to all statutory days. Additional hrs as necessary when required

Candidates must be time served with a BTEC or City & Guilds qualification or above in:
• electrical and electronic engineering;
• manufacturing engineering;
• mechanical engineering;
• production engineering
