Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, Days based role
Maintenance Engineer position available for an electrically biased multi-skilled maintenance engineer. The company are a family run food company that pride themselves on great staff retention and employee satisfaction who have recently gone through a growth phase leading to them investing heavily back into the production machinery.
The ideal candidate will have experience of electrical fault finding and repair up to 3 phase whilst working on inverters and motors. You will also hold strong mechanical ability working on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gears, bearings, etc. Experience of working in the food industry is not necessary as training will be provided on the company's production machinery with ex-forces welcome.
You will predominantly be working on PPM which will make up around 70% of your time and on breakdown repair / reactive maintenance which will make up around 30% of your time. However, this is a diverse role in a large modern site where you will need to be flexible to also carry out project improvements.
Experience with the following production equipment would be highly advantageous: baggers, flowrappers, multihead weighers, checkweighers and metal detectors, washers and dryers
The company are a leading supplier of food into the retail industry and have recently won a contract to be one of the sole suppliers to one of the UKs largest retailers.
