My client is a Leading International Construction and Civil Engineering Contractor.
Originally established more than 150 years ago, they are experts in the following areas;
Design & Build
Due to an unprecedented period of growth in their Civil Engineering Division, my client is looking to appoint a Civils biased Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer to work on a one of their projects in and around Kent.
The nature of the work varies, but could include;
Marine, Coastal and Fluvial
Highways & Bridges
My client has secured several high-profile projects and frameworks within the area which they are looking to build upon.
Setting out and levelling of Civil Engineering works (drainage, utilities, roadworks, urban realm, structures, earthworks, piling etc.)
Capture of as-built information as the works progress and input to as-built model files
Calling off materials for the construction of the permanent and temporary works
Implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes and preparation and collation of quality records including but not limited to Inspection and Test Plans, Check Sheets, testing records
Preparation and implementation documentation (including, but not limited to) Method Statements, Risk Assessments, safe systems of working, Permits (e.g. permit to break ground), Consents, Licences
Must have at least one year`s experience in land surveying, setting-out as well as the use of total stations, data loggers and levelling equipment.
Implementing the processes and procedures of the project management plans management plans (e.g. Health and Safety Plan, Environmental Plan, Quality Plan, Noise and Vibration)
Interpretation and explanation of designs and drawings to direct and sub-contracted works crews
Preparation of detailed programmes and monitoring of actual progress and resource usage versus planned usage.
Preparation of Daily Allocation Sheets.
Preparation of progress reports.
1-5 years of postgraduate site experience necessary.
Preferably a minimum of two years of permanent employment with a Principal Civil Engineering Contractor in the UK.
Experience of Civil Engineering / live utilities diversion / urban realm construction would be an advantage.
Experience of Infrastructure and Structures related schemes would also be an advantage.
