Preetha Sampath is recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work within a manufacturing environment for a Materials (Composites) company that manufacture a range of industrial fabrics and materials. The Mechanical Automation Engineer will work on their site in Leicester on a permanent basis.|
This role is offering a salary in the range of £25,000pa - £40,000pa dependent on experience.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
•Industrialisation of internal R&T innovations so they are established as a routine production process.
•Plant development and implementation of technological improvements from concept stage, through specification, installation, commissioning and training.
•Optimisation of current processes by analysing data, developing conclusions, and implementing recommendations.
•Project management including budgetary control and application of risk management / statistical tools.
•Communicate effectively to all levels within the organisation and relevant external contacts including vendors, suppliers and industrial bodies.
•Maintain detailed reporting and management oriented presentations.
•A strong engineering background.
•Educated to Degree level in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
•3D CAD skills.
•Project management skills and experience.
•Six Sigma experience is desirable.
•Relevant industrial experience in composite technology and web conversion process.
•Solidworks and AutoCad experience is desirable.
