You will need to demonstrate a clear career history of successfully delivering projects on time and under budget from within this demanding sector. This company has a real hunger to succeed and has a very clear growth plan over the next 6 years which will see them become one of the most recognised brands in their sector.
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will ensure that each project is run efficiently and profitably, in line with client expectations. This will involve the day-to-day management of mechanical, HVAC and building services projects with direct responsibility for contract delivery planning, programming of works, carrying out site meetings, procurement of labour and materials, and project handover. You will be responsible for projects with values of circa £3 mill - £5 mill.
To be considered for this role, you must have proven, previous experience in a Mechanical Project Manager role, ideally within a contracting environment. You will need to be mechanically qualified, ideally to HNC/HND level and be hungry for career progression. It is essential you have experience of managing the full project lifecycle and assuming complete financial control of projects you are managing. Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience from within the commercial sector.
Typically working on projects with values ranging from £3 mill upwards, you will possess the ability to manage the project in its entirety. You will be commercially responsible for ensuring that margins are maintained whilst ensuring effective solutions are found to any issues that may arise. The ability to deal with demanding clients and think on your feet is essential.
