Job Purpose Statement
Overall management and control of the Engineering discipline. Main functions - Roads, Sewers and Utilities Agreements.
1. Roads, Sewers and Services Control
1.1 To produce Roads & Sewers programme based on overall company programme.
1.2 Liaise with Roads & Sewers Designer for the production of all relevant design drawings and to include the requisition of technical approval.
1.3 To make service enquiries, analysis and instruct all Utilities Providers and arrange mains services.
1.4 Ensure that individual service connections and supplies for all utilities have been applied for with Planning Manager. Ensure that the timing of this is appropriate to achieve build plan and maintain budgetary control.
1.5 To arrange Section 38 information and secure Agreements, including maintenance and adoption.
1.6 To arrange Section 104 information and secure Agreements, including maintenance
1.7 To liaise with Local Authorities regarding roads & sewers contracts.
1.8 To check roads & sewers contractors' work.
1.9 To authorise roads & sewers contractors' invoices.
1.10 To supervise remedial works on roads & sewers instructed by Local Authorities.
1.11 To transfer/supervise transfer of mains service proposals including street lighting to
plans and programme works.
1.12 To produce as-built surveys of roads, sewers and ducts.
1.13 To organise street names, numbering, street name plates.
2. Control of Drawings/Materials Schedules
2.1 To assist and supervise production of Site Packages.
3.1 To undertake general office duties as required.
3.2 To operate the Quality System as described in the Quality Manual and relevant Procedure Manuals with the guidance of the Quality Manager.
3.3 To provide information on Quality Procedures to other company personnel.
