Our client manages over £1.5 billion worth of contracts for one of the largest franchises in Europe. These franchises are experiencing the benefits of improved retail technology solutions, so they are now looking to hire a Retail Technology Delivery Manager to join an expanding team and take a leading role in shaping programmes and building success throughout their EMEA region.|
This role combines hands on delivery and implementation management with supplier liaison, stakeholder management and project planning. It requires strong commercial acumen and influencing skills to draw upon resources from other internal teams to enable successful technical rollouts within an international retail environment.
The successful candidate must have experience of end to end retail technology, preferably leading a multi-site rollout. This should include system experience in:
? data warehousing
? transaction processing
This is a very varied role so exposure to App or web development projects would be of benefit as well as any knowledge of Retail eCommerce or retail mobile applications.
Whilst the responsibilities will include project leadership and planning, we are not specifically seeking a Project Manager as this is a hands on role so many of the tasks will be carried out directly in this position with the support of other team members. As this is an international role that requires some travel, a full driving licence is essential.
This role will suit someone coming from an application or technical retail support (you might have held one of these positions - Technical Consultant, Delivery Manager or Implementation Manager) background who has already transitioned into pro-active project orientated work, and is looking to make this the primary component in their role.
