Software Architect - Leading Life Sciences Software Company|
£55,000 - £65,000 + Pension + Flexible Hours
We are one of the fastest growing software companies in the life sciences industry. The team is responsible for producing software used in early stage Clinical Trials and operates in a challenging, highly regulated and audited environment.
An architect is the most senior non-management position in product development. The role-holder is expected to lay out the structure, interfaces, algorithms and data model of major pieces of functionality in our product suite. The Architect is also an individual contributor, developing web pages and complex processing logic in the middle tier and in the database. The candidate is expected to have extensive experience in programming languages such as C#, Java, SQL Server, ASP .NET, and XML. Experience with clinical trial software systems is an advantage.
The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter and be very personable. In addition the successful candidate will provide technical leadership to other members of the development team. The role may require occasional working of flexible hours. Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.

Responsibilities will Include:
> Having a deep understanding of our products and being highly proficient in the technologies used in their development.
> Leading the architecture and design of major subsystems within the product suite.
> Developing systems and subsystems based upon design sessions and requirement specifications.
> Taking the lead in introducing new technologies into the development team and mentoring other staff in the proper use of those technologies.
> Excellent verbal and communication skills with the ability to work with all levels within the organisation.
> Ability to perform independently and under pressure of time constraints.
> Strong analytical and problem solving skills, computer proficiency, and ability to follow through with projects from inception to completion.
> Strong working knowledge of (url removed)
> Strong working knowledge of C#
> Strong working knowledge of IIS
> Strong working knowledge of SQL Server
> Strong working knowledge of Enterprise environments
