We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who can manage servers or a systems administrator who loves to write code.
You will be working with a team of smart, passionate people helping to design, deploy, optimize and administer a cutting edge software as a service platform.
You will be expected to practice "infrastructure as code". The platform is used by many big online retailers resulting in billions of requests every month. DevOps is an important part of delivering consistency and reliability at this scale. You will also be expected to help administer the systems day to day, working on maintenance tasks and dealing with problems.
We believe in using the right technology for the job and solving problems in the right way. The type of person who will enjoy this job is someone who loves to learn new skills and try new technology. Cassandra, Solr Cloud and NodeJS are a few examples of technologies we have introduced within this culture.
TL;DR: Infrastructure as code, big scale, lots of modern tech, sys admin, all experiences considered.
Basic DevOps Engineer Skills /Requirements:
* Linux system administration (Fedora / Centos distros)
* Configuration management (Puppet / Chief or similar)
* Scripting languages (Ruby, Python, bash)
* Solid understanding of internet architecture
Preferred DevOps Engineer Experience:
* Amazon Web Services
* NoSQL Databases, (Cassandra, MongoDB)
* TeamCity and Git related Experience
* Solr Cloud / Zookeeper Experience
* Java server applications Experience
* Load testing & benchmarking
