Head of Cyber Security for Software Engineering - Financial Services / FinTech|
Salary: circa £90-120K + benefits + bonus
Location: London (however they are open to some flexible working)
A leading financial services (FinTech style) organisation in London are looking to hire their Head of Cyber Security for Software Engineering. This individual will be the senior security authority for software development within the business and ensure platforms and products are meeting a high standard of security and associated vulnerabilities are effectively dealt with throughout the software development lifecycle. The organisation are looking for a senior security leader who comes from a strong technical background, eg Technical Security / Security Engineering / Consultant / Software Developer etc who will be able to face off to, get buy in from and challenge senior developers & stakeholders both on the technical and business side.
The Security agenda is of paramount importance given the large amounts of customer data the organisation have and also the increasing digital / online presence of the organisation and therefore this individual will be empowered and backed by the business from the top. Some key areas of focus and challenge will be around Cloud & Big Data & Digital Platforms so any security engineering experience within any of these domains is highly desirable. The business operate in a FinTech style, looking to embrace and maximise their opportunity through new technologies and they want to ensure they have effective security solutions to secure their platforms and mitigate risk.
Ideal skills / experience:
* Strong Security Engineering / Architecture knowledge for Software / Applications / Platforms, should be comfortable being security authority throughout the software development lifecycle / SDLC.
* Very good ability to face off to senior development / technology & business stakeholders, ability to influence and ensure that security agenda is driven and no corners cut. Ability to be an enabler for deliverables through balancing risks with opportunity.
* Natural leadership ability, not only to manage deliverables but also resources and to be a member of the senior security leadership team.
* Should ideally have some good security knowledge associated with Cloud / Big Data or Digital Platforms. The organisation are investing heavily in these technologies.
