Primary duties and responsibilities:

1. Responsible for running the full accounting operations of China Holding Company (CHC):
  • Revamp and set up a strong ERP supported accounting system and operational structure with strong emphasis on standard process controls, standardization and efficiencies
  • Responsible for the GL books of the facility to ensure:
  • Timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting
  • Review reasonableness of the month end GL account balances and ensure all account reconciliations are performed
  • Compliance with US GAAP and local statutory book, policies, external and internal audits and local regulations
  • Ensure proper document procedures and controls to support the GL transactions and balances
  • Be the subject matter expert for GL and AP and help define operational requirements in system deployment and ensure that all functionalities are deployed as defined in the requirements
  • Ensure policy and document compliance on T&E and P2P processing, with timely payment processing
  • Ensure policy and document compliance on R2R booking and reporting, with timely month-end closing and reporting
  • Responsible for ensuring quality of controls and operational efficiencies are maintained with consistently high level of performance
  • Responsible for all timely local statutory tax filings
  • Ensure AP and T&E operations are supported with proper documentation and approval and review processes; and that processing of payments are accurate and efficient
  • Responsible for IC charging management within China and conduct timely reconciliation with counter party for Holding company
  • Work closely with the outside business partner to ensure all GL responsibilities are properly dispensed
2. Responsible for China reporting consolidation and provide the guidance and direction with the GL lead together to support COE
3. Quarterly financial review preparation
4. Responsible for timely tax certification and reconciliation based on tax accounts and annual audit reports in internal tax system under China and make sure policy and document compliance with Corp Tax and local statutory tax requirements
5. Responsible for coordinating and tracking all integration projects, with emphasis on PMO updates and Integration Playbook on acquisitions in China by working closely with the respective Assistant Controllers, Functional Leaders and acquired entities/JVs and support the integration on new acquisition based on COE process
6. Assess and rectify internal control weaknesses
7. Assist in the building of Budget of China Controllership team, and tracking and monitoring of costs under the directions of the Controller and Assistant Controllers, and working with the GL Lead
8. Special projects as necessary

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
  • Accounting degree with > 8 yrs of relevant progressive accounting experience, preferably in a MNC and installations and manufacturing environment
  • Strong tracking record in a supervisory role (minimum 4 years) and team development required
  • Hands-on working experience in ERP system and essential office tools (Microsoft Office)
  • Mature individual with high personal and business integrity; who can interface effectively with internal/external groups of all levels, and be able to develop harmonious working relationships with different groups
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting and regulatory practices of China
  • Experience in control process evaluation, improvement, and implementation
  • Good oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  • Organized, time-sensitive & results driven

Other Information:
  • Travel (less than 30%) necessary
  • Understanding and exposure/experience in a MNC environment
  • Holding company experience is highly preferred
  • Experience/exposure in working with Joint Ventures and acquisitions highly desirable
  • Mature individual who values the importance of harmonious team work
