Our client is a rapidly growing business based in the Portishead area. Due to growth and an increase in workload an opportunity has arisen within their Senior Team. The practice was founded over 30 years ago and are well known for their expertise in the residential and retirement sectors. They are a multi-disciplinary company whose work encompasses urban extensions, master planning within residential developments, care housing and retirement villages. They have a solid reputation which is displayed by the vast amount of clients they consistently receive repeat business from.
Your new role
You will be designing the layout of new developments, producing sketch feasibilities, design and access statements, masterplans and visual representations. You will then be responsible for taking the designs through planning, handling applications and using your knowledge of building regulations and planning law to ensure a smooth success.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have experience in a similar position either within practice or with a residential developer handling sites of 50+ dwellings. High level proficiency in AUTOCAD is a must with REVIT being desirable but certainly not essential. Your designs will need to have a compromise between commercial and aesthetics showing off your commercial acumen. You will have experience in creating design access statements across a variety of residential developments.
