My client in Doncaster South Yorkshire is currently in need of Field service engineers.

Field Service Representative will be responsible for new equipment Installations, rebuilding of used equipment, performing field engineering audits, and general supporting of install base machinery.
This position will be primarily working in customers' manufacturing facilities worldwide. It requires extensive travel (80%) and substantial lifting, climbing, twisting, kneeling, etc. The anticipated field time over a twelve-month period is 80%.
Holiday and weekend work is routine for the Field Service Representative.

Responsibilities include provide mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and repair of equipment; ability to understand the function of, wire, and troubleshoot sensors; and the ability to do minor wiring as needed.
Additional responsibilities include provide mechanical/electrical installations and service of products; provide training for customer operations and maintenance personnel, emphasizing the safe operation of our products; provide follow-up documentation in a timely manner to include installation and service reports, timesheets, and expense reports; and other duties as assigned by the Field Service Manager.


This position will require excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in troubleshooting of packaging machinery and line control systems.
This position will require the candidate to have a general understanding of VFD functions and operations and the ability to make changes to VFD parameters as required.
Must have the ability to provide I/O checks and troubleshoot wiring. Understanding of pneumatic and electrical Schematics is required.
PLC (Allen Bradley and/or Siemens) programming experience is required.
Qualified individuals must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment, and must be accountable when working remotely while accurately and efficiently working towards projects or assignment deadlines and goals.

Must be compliant with company standards for attendance and hours of work.
Proven oral and written communication skills are required.
Must exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced computer knowledge is required.
Strong mechanical aptitude is required.
Robotic/Automation experience is a plus but not required.
Minimum 2 years of related experience in a service role is preferred.

The salary for the role £35k with an extra bonus scheme of £25k available. There is 28 days holiday as well as additional company benefits
