Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) is in search of a mechanical, systems, structural, or industrial engineer for its Rail Vehicle Division. This position is located in PB's Transit and Rail Technical Excellence Center in Los Angeles, CA and involves tasks relevant to rail vehicle specifications and procurements, engineering analyses, inspections, and research and development of PB's rail vehicle knowledge base.

PB's rail vehicle expertise spans the entire spectrum from light rail to high speed rail. Immediate projects could include:
      • California's High Speed Train Project
      • LA Metro's procurement/overhaul of vehicles
The candidate must be self-motivated and enthusiastic with an eagerness to learn and be a team player. He or she will work with both the junior and senior staff to assist PB in delivering rail vehicle projects successfully. Future opportunities to witness and inspect the production of rail vehicle cars also exist. The goal of this opportunity is to develop the candidate into a rail vehicle specialist.

Job Requirements
Education Required:
      • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university
Experience/Skills Required:
      • 3 years experience in an engineering field

The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
