WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff has an immediate opportunity in our San Bernardino office for an Environmental Planner with relevant experience in CEQA, NEPA, and Caltrans requirements as well as environmental planning, public involvement, documentation, assessment, permitting and processes. Must have an in-depth understanding of compliance with all state and federal environmental requirements and applicable environmental laws and standards. Will interface with government agencies and the public.

Job Requirements
Education Required:
      • Master's Degree in Planning, Geography, Engineering or a related discipline is required
      • AICP certification is preferred
Experience/Skills Required:
      • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in CEQA, NEPA, and Caltrans requirements and environmental planning processes
      • Demonstrated experience in leading planning/environmental projects or tasks
      • Demonstrated ability to lead and work as part of a team, work cross-functionally and think critically and strategically
      • Familiarity with California and Southern California transportation planning issues
      • Ability to develop rapport across all levels of the organization and with clients
      • Ability to effectively present and communicate ideas orally and in written form
      • Possess a high level of energy and enthusiasm
      • Good organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and attention to detail
      • Experience with project financials
      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
      • The successful candidate must be a team player, a self-starter, and demonstrate strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and technical skills
      • Interest in mentoring and managing younger staff
      • Leading and delivering work tasks for transportation projects and studies including:
          • data collection, research, and documentation contributing to the development of statewide, regional, and local transportation projects, feasibility studies, planning reports, CEQA and NEPA documents, policy documentation and research, and other analyses
Desired Qualifications:
      • Technical and staff related project management knowledge is a plus
      • Experience as a part of pursuit teams and contributions to proposal and business development

The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
