Adecco are currently recruiting for a Stock Control Supervisor for our client based in Hoddesdon. Our client is a well established leader in the logistics market looking for a proactive team coordinator to join their lovely team.

This role is a combination of both team leading and supporting a small team of 3 in the day to day running of the warehouse. The role will be to assist in managing a cost effective & efficient warehouse operation, ensure manning & equipment levels are maintained to ensure full warehouse operation with particular emphasis on following company procedure. The salary offered is £24,420 per annum.

Working hours will be 09:00am-17:00pm working on a rotational basis on 5 days on 2 days off.

Key responsibilities:

*Manage and motivate the shift team ensuring that productivity and service KPIs are achieved or exceeded.

*Ensure the highest possible levels of health, safety and hygiene are upheld so that legislative and quality requirements can be complied with ensuring relevant paperwork is completed and retained.

*Deliver communication briefings so that Stock team are aware of all company and local issues and employees are able to offer input.

*Ensure stock has been booked on to the system properly.

*Assist in the investigation and resolution of queries discovered during picks bay counts.

*Ensure the recording of damages and maintain the procedures for the control of the damaged stock.

*Ensure claims are investigated and provide detailed information to the Senior Stock Controller
*Report to customers; for held, out of date o damaged stock

*Liaise with customers for adjustment and outstanding claims to assist in resolution

*Maintain excellent customer service levels at all times.

*Ensure that all company and legislative policies and best practices are adhered to and maintained at all times

*Inform the relevant Team Coordinator of non conformances and ensure that corrective action is taken.

The ideal candidate:

*Experience within a Stock control Supervisory/ managerial role is essential.

*Proven experience within team leading and supervising a team is essential.

*Stock control databases working knowledge.

*Computer literate with an understanding of all stock control systems.

*To have a hands on approach and willing to get stuck in to all aspects of the role.

*An understanding of health and safety procedures in the warehouse.

*Professional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operation

*IT Skills - Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point software applications and Microsoft Outlook.

*Work to very tight deadlines and targets, self motivated and possess high levels of initiative.

*Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills.
