Site Maintenance Manager - Cambridge - Pharmacutical Contract - Up to 42K|
One of the major players in the FM and Maintenance industry are currently looking to recruit a key member of staff to add to a large pharmaceutical site on the Cambridge/Essex border.
They are a worldwide company and their client base houses some highly recognisable brands.
They provide specialist support in the operation, maintenance and repair of building services, and excel in the maintenance of technically demanding buildings.
Due to the expansion of the existing team on site, they have now specified the need for site maintenance manager to manage the maintenance and services across this prestigious estate. The buildings covered include office buildings and laboratories.
The ideal candidate will have previously experience working in a commercial maintenance environment; ideally pharmaceutical but blue chip office environments would also be suitable will have managed teams of around five engineers.
Candidates must have a strong technical understanding and excellent man-management skills and must also have strong people skills.

Other objectives include but are not limited to the following:
Lead a team of maintenance engineers in the service delivery of technical and soft services.
Implement the site asset management strategy and delivery of asset maintenance, ensuring effective asset lifecycle management for buildings, facilities and equipment at sites.
Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory obligations for asset management maintain assurance of compliance for their assets.
Be responsible person and building manager for all buildings including offices and laboratories.
Organise and manage staff to ensure effective and efficient planned and reactive maintenance.
Assist in recruitment of technical staff.
Ensure health and safety is adhered to and all paperwork is complete to correct standards.
Maintain cleanliness of plant rooms.
Ensure reactive maintenance is undertaken in accordance with the contract.
Manage minor improvements works.
Applicants for the role must be able to meet the following criteria:
Fully qualified electrically or mechanically (HNC, HNC C&G)
Previous experience of supervising or managing a small team.
Knowledge of working with a budget and know how to reduce costs.
Previous experience of planned and reactive maintenance.
Experience of working in a building services environment.
Knowledge of compliance and health and safety.
