The successful applicant will perform the role of a Licensing Manager and will be dedicated to supporting the licensing needs of SCC's Datacenter Services. In addition will provide License Manager support to the wider SCC software business such as SCC's account teams in branch, Software Solutions Specialists within the Software BU and provide sales and commercial support for all core software opportunities including but not exclusively; Microsoft, Citrix, VMWare, Symantec, Veritas etc.
It is expected that the successful candidate will be required to complete an initial a program of work to establish a current and working view and SCCs hosted clients on a DCS platform and relevant licensing needs for each. The establishment of an on-boarding process for future DCS clients to ensure appropriate use SCC's compliance with vendor licensing vehicles such as SPLA and or License Mobility etc. The recording, reporting and management of customer usage and any relevant billing for DCS customers. The applicant will also provide valuable support to complex software sales driven solutions across a wide client base. The successful individual will have a proven track record of working with core software licensing knowledge, strong customer services and sales experience.
Roles & Responsibilities:
•Dedicated 1:1 support for all licensing needs with SCC's DCS business
•Working hand-in-hand with DCS on all current and future client licensing requirements
•Establish and ownership of system of record for customer licensing requirements
•Working hand-in-hand with Software Solutions Specialists; provide end-to-end provision of complex software quotes/cost modeling etc., expertly leveraging vendor licensing vehicles to the mutual benefit of our clients and SCC alike for all key or nominated software vendors.
•1st point of contact for advising SCC's incumbent and future hosted services customers of their licensing needs/requirements.
•1st point of contact for SCC DCS and wider account team for licensing enquiry's
•Maintenance of relevant customer software catalogues and pricing
•Achieve and maintain any agreement specific SLAs both in terms of customer delivery and vendor expectation/obligation
•Collaborate with Solutions Specialists and Sales teams to maximize the potential sales opportunities within client licensing contract, specific to up- sell, cross-sell as appropriate.
•Ensure customers are receiving the most accurate and up to date procurement and licensing guidance through the lifecycle of their software agreements with SCC. This includes notifying clients of their options or potential gains from programmatic and product changes, obsolescence as necessary. Ensuring SCC's customer 'hear it first' from SCC.
•Assist with the bidding process including response documents such as RFI, RFP and full proposal.
•Drive partnership and collaboration with key vendors.
•Assist Software Solution Specialist with pipeline ensuring all customer opportunities etc., are shared and pipeline on MySCC (Internal CRM) is as accurate and up to date as possible.
•3- 5Yrs expert industry knowledge across multiple software vendors not just Microsoft.
•Solid understanding and proven track record in selling software licensing solutions that are tailored to meet a client's needs and demands.
•An ability to spot, qualify and leverage new licensing opportunities within incumbent and next accounts.
•A good understanding of Software technologies and vendor partners, their emerging technologies and the broader market view outside software.
•The ability to develop long term relationships as a trusted partner for SCC's customers.
•The ability to drive internal collaboration and lead virtual teams.
