A very specialist manufacturer is now recruiting for a maintenance engineer of electrical bias to join the business at their West Yorkshire operation. The business operating within the plastics industry manufactures a very large volume of product and supply to other manufacturers. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward thinking company and also receive lots of training and development.
THE ROLE OF A MAINTENANCE ENGINEER:
The maintenance engineer will be responsible for carrying out PPMs and breakdowns on all the production machinery at the site. The engineer will also get involved in various projects on site focusing mainly on continuous improvement and RCA. The machinery includes plastic moulding machines, conveyors, Siemens PLCs, granulators, etc.
- Attending breakdowns
- 4on 4off Shift
- PLC Fault finding
The successful maintenance engineer needs to be electrical bias and need to hold a relevant electrical qualification, ideally minimum City and Guilds or NVQ level 3. The engineer will ideally be a self-driven person and be able to work alone or in a team. Experience within a plastic manufacturing environment would be very beneficial but otherwise and manufacturing environment would be suitable. The engineer must be able to work on PLCs and ideally have experience with a Siemens system.

SALARY: £31,000 - £32,500
