The Company

This Site Manager role is with one of the UK's leading main contractors. Having constructed some of the most well-known and iconic buildings throughout the country they have a reputation for delivering major new build schemes. The company is known for its innovative approach working on new build projects valued up to £50 million in the Health, Education, Office and Retail sectors.

The Role

My Client is looking to recruit Project Manager's to join their team covering Education projects in the West London area. The main purpose of the role is to run the site and ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality by effectively organizing and managing the site activities. This will involve taking responsibility for the onsite element of the works through strong management of all subcontractors by monitoring the performance of all associated personnel, together with any actions necessary to maintain project targets and at all times ensuring that all procedures and all Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation and are complied with.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the delivery of projects to high standards by budgeting and programming
Manage all phases of the project, from contract award to close out, to meet all contractual requirements.
Manage designated projects to meet company objectives post-contract with an input into pre-contract requirements emphasising customer care and business excellence
Ensure projects are safely delivered on time, to budget and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction
Make sure project risks are identified and managed through effective mitigation measures.
Manage the implementation of designated projects. Ensure the project plan is maintained from inception to completion
Monitoring and communicating project financial performance and administration for all assigned projects
Oversee the co-ordination of operatives, subcontractors and supplier in a planned and controlled manner ensuring efficiency and minimising costs
Develop and implement the site business plan.
Act as a point of contact, managing relationships with all stakeholders, consultants and service providers

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence
Project Management qualification
Previous project management experience
Commercial and contractual awareness
Computer literate
Ability to maintain relationships with clients, customers and suppliers
Team Leader with organisational skill
Excellent organiser with proven time management skills
Numerate with good IT skills
Excellent communication skills
Proven track record successfully managing own project up to a value of circa £3m
