Graduate Java Developer
As a Graduate Trainee in our Development team at N Brown you'll be part of a talented software team within an agile environment working on crucial applications to support the business.
You'll work under the supervision of Senior Developers, learning to develop applications using Java EE to agreed timescales and quality standards. You'll receive guidance and coaching to enable you to design and implement business applications, produce system and user documentation, test, debug and document software as well as carry out maintenance and support of business systems.
What you will need to succeed:
We're looking for a talented and ambitious Graduate with a minimum 2:2 degree in an IT related discipline. It's essential that you have some experience developing in Java, perhaps gained through a university or independent project.
A flexible, positive approach and strong time management skills are essential as you will need to complete tasks and projects to deadlines. You should be comfortable managing a varied workload whilst maintaining excellent levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
You'll need good teamwork and communication skills so you can actively participate in both formal and informal meeting and discussions as well as a genuine passion for technology and a desire to continuously develop and build your knowledge in web development.
