As an established growing IT managed Services provider for the SME market and growing companies; the role of Network Engineer is an integral part of the company, reporting to the Services Manager. You will enjoy an excellent monthly salary between £38-£45k depending on experience

The Network Engineer will be covering 3rd line support via remote support from the office and occasionally attending scheduled on-site visits and Emergency onsite visits.

Job Specification

Remote Support from office / receiving and dealing with customer support calls
Occasionally attending scheduled On-site visits & Emergency onsite visits
Taking on escalated support tickets.
Liaise with 3rd party suppliers on customer's behalf
Planning and managing Support Ticket queue's
Carrying out Project Work
Coaching of front-line team and Systems Team members when required
On Call - rota based.
Quality of Service - consistent and just beyond client expectations
Creative ideas for new, or improved service offerings
Flexible working hours
Personnel Specification

4-5 years in a support role; ideally some of that experience within a managed services provider environment.
Minimum of 2 years' experience as escalation point
Experience in network installations and troubleshooting (TCP/ DCHP/ DNS / VPN / Routers / Switches)
Cisco experience
Experience in installing, configuring, and supporting various Server operating systems: Windows SBS 2003 to SBS 2011 / Windows Server 2003 to 2012.
Experience in Microsoft Exchange Server from 2003 up to 2013
Experience in Microsoft Hyper-V
Experience in Microsoft Azure
Experience in setting up and troubleshooting Backup Exec
Experience in setting up and managing Office 365
Experience in setting up and managing Anti-Spam
A MCITP / MSCE / MSCA qualification is also desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication
Well Organised / Good at Time Management
Must have proven Customer Services experience
Problem solving
Remote and some on-site support
Ability to work on own initiative
It would be desirable if you have experience in N-Able or/and Connectwise or/and 3CX
A salary of £38-45k will be paid for the role and you will be joining a superb growing company in the MSP technology field.
