My client is looking for a motivated Mechanical Associate for their office based in the North East to lead one of their mechanical engineering teams and contribute to the exciting range of projects including, residential, hotels, sport, commercial and education sectors.

What you'll be doing

•Manage the day-to-day activities in the team

•Create clear and demonstrable work plans for each project and/or project stage ensuring tasks are clearly defined and communicated, and resource are matched appropriately to the task.

•Coordinate with Department and Team Leaders to ensure co-ordination of resources matches with anticipated workload and billing ratios.

•Participate as a Department Leader, particularly in ensuring delivery of department communications and the continued development of staff.

•Interact with external departments on resource needs and requirements.

Who we're looking for

•Apply skills and provide technical guidance in Mechanical Engineering Design.

•Prepare bid and contract documentation.

•Project Manager role for projects and expected to represent the company at external client meetings.

•Understanding of different procurement and contractual arrangements, as well as financial arrangements for projects, including fee forecasting, fee preparation, and allocation.

•Monitor actual project costs against target costs and administer change control procedures in accordance with agreed scope of service.

•A strong background in mechanical services design including sustainability and public health design.

•Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline.

•To Hold or be working towards Charter ship with CIBSE, IMeche, FEANI or a FEANI approved body.

•Knowledge and instruction of relevant occupational hazards and safety precautions of their specific discipline.
