Software/Application Support Analyst- SQL|
This is a great opportunity to join a highly successful specialist software house. Its software is the leading Knowledge Management solution for their field. Our Nottingham based client is expanding its team by looking for a number of individuals to work within their client support team.
Salary: Up to £25,000
This is a technical, problem solving role; you can be flexible, adaptable and focused on providing excellence in customer support.
You will have strong technical and interpersonal to deal directly with end users.
Through progression, your role may be extended to an out of hours shift pattern to provide support to our international clients.
You must have at least 2 years' experience of providing support for a web based application and must demonstrate some understanding of HTML, IIS, SQL Server, t-SQL queries.
You will also be able to show initiative and self-starting when faced with new problems.
You will understand how the infrastructure and networking - that makes a web application - works.
Resolution of support calls caused by end users who have:
System Administration problems
Client PC configuration issues
Responsible for end-to-end technical welfare of clients.
Ownership and management of support calls/tickets.
Possible travel to client site for investigation purposes, depending on confidence.
Characterisation, escalation and management of support calls caused by software defect or custom configuration.
Communicating support call progress.
Opportunity for progression by extending role to including the resolution of defects in code.
