Our client is currently recruiting for a Crane & Lifting Equipment Mechanical Engineer Surveyor in the Coalville / Ashby-De-La-Zouch area. The Role of a Mechanical Engineer Surveyor (Crane & Lifting Equipment):
As an Engineer Surveyor you will be given a number of designated clients to service within a geographical patch. The ideal candidate will be required to inspect various pieces of Crane and Lifting equipment and make sure they are working to various health and safety, quality and environmental issues. If the equipment meets all the necessary standards, you will issue a certificate and arrange another periodic visit. If the equipment doesn't meet all the standards, you will be required to recommend solutions to potential issues that may arise from the machinery, and ensure follow up appointments are adhered to.
For this opportunity, suitable candidates need to be either qualified to HNC, HND or an Engineering Equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline. You will need to have proven experience and excellent technical knowledge of various pieces of Lifting Equipment (Cranes, mobile platforms, scissor lifts, materials handling etc.) and have the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces. Candidates must have a good understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations, as well as a clear understanding of health & safety. Candidates from a Forces (Army, Navy or RAF) are very suitable for this position.

Salary: Basic from £33,000
