The Role of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
During this role as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer you will be required to strip down, fault find and repair various equipment that will be brought into the workshop for service and repair, assist in mechanical and electrical PPM and repairs within the maintenance team. The site is very large, so the candidate needs to be comfortable working in this kind of environment where a lot of walking to and from production lines is needed.
If the successful candidate holds a recognised apprenticeship, this would be advantageous, but at the very minimum they must have a relevant qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering and have previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a fast moving environment. Electrically, you must be capable of working to 3phase, understand star & delta motors and any knowledge on inverters would be an added bonus. Dealings with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, belts, bearings and chains will be a regular occurrence with any mechanical faults on site.
