Industrial Acoustician - Based East Midlands - £30-£40p/h - DOE - 6-12 Month Minimum Contract DOE - Immediate Start|
Concept Design of Acoustic Solutions - Site Surveys - Scientific Analysis of Sound Levels, Pitch, Spectrum etc - Client Liaison / Specifying Materials and Concept Design
This bespoke, family owned engineering company has been established for over a century have grown to employ over 200 people and supply to some of the world's largest companies such as BP, Petrofac and Shell amongst others. As a result of winning a large project with one of their biggest clients, combined with winning new projects with new customers a bottleneck in the specification of acoustic solutions to reduce the noise of the machinery.
What the role will involve:
Working with the client to agree a specification, taking it and designing a solution that is fit for purpose.
Site surveys to understand the level, pitch, frequency and impact of the sound in the environment.
When they have all of the data they need they will specify the solution including materials, thicknesses etc. You will be working alongside a mechanical engineer who will engineer it - this is the concept specification of the system.
Consulting with the client to ensure the system works!

Engineers from a building services background won't be right - this is deflection and deadening of noise for industrial gas turbines.
