The Systems Engineer shall be required to carry out the Implementation & integration of multiple Applications & Operating Systems across various platforms together with the associated System Administration function.
In doing so the Systems Engineer shall:-
*Have a hands on roll in the implementation, integration and support of market leading Operating Systems (Windows/Linux).
*Have a hands on roll in the implementation, integration and support of COTS & bespoke Applications.
*Work as part of a core team but will lead on all aspects of Applications Intergration and Support.
*To act as the lead to resolve technical problems, either design or support related for the OS & Applications being supported.
*Ensuring escalation and feedback drives a high level of performance throughout telent.
*To assist in the build and design of Proof of Concept scenarios, Type Approval activities in the telent labs.
*Assist in the project management of upgrades (Release Management) to the System being supported.
*Create and deliver: technical presentations, solution demonstrations, solution design/configuration, and proposal development.
Business Operations Skills - Qualifications:
*Proven experience of working with Windows &/or Linux Operating Systems
*Proven experience of working with Windows Server Operating System
*Proven experience of virtual server environments, the management and configuration of VM platforms
*Proven understanding of IT Systems and Server Infrastructures
*Proven understanding of database applications and structures
*Experience of provide support at differing levels, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line support
*Degree in Engineering or IT related subject (or equivalent)
*Normal Training/Qualification of Operating Systems Business Application
*To be able to work in a methodical structured way with good communication and organisational skills.
*Must have significant experience in process management & process improvement.
*Experience of communicating at various levels within an Organisation.
