My client is a leading energy solutions company providing technical engineering, design and project management services across the UK in all areas of the industry. We are expanding and looking to bring in a Technical Manager for the Sheffield & East Midlands area to join our team.

The purpose of the job is to manage an efficient, cost effective and customer focused service by ensuring that successful, engineering operations comply with legislation and client specification. Maintain and develop excellent relationships with the customer. Ensure the effective management and utilisation of resources is applied therefore providing continuous quality service.

Duties & Responsibilities;

•Liaison with operational staff to ensure material compliance with relevant specifications whilst delivering company budgetary requirements.
•Support the operational activities
•Effective control of material selection, procurement and metering activities .
•Production of management reports as required
•Provide technical support to all group employees.
•Undertake site inspections to ensure obligations are in accordance with relevant legislation.
•Actively contribute to the development of existing customer relationships to maximise commercial opportunities
•Effective cost control of field activities.
•Effective control of the related field support functions.
•Maintenance of personal competence to fulfil the role.
•The timely completion and submission of all relevant company statutory returns, documents, etc.
•During the course of your work you are to protect the Public and their property as well as the property belonging to clients.

Desirable Qualifications:

•IGEM engtech status
•Considerable experience within Gas Distribution industry
•Appreciation of safe control of operations procedures
•Demonstrate an understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 standards
