We have a new opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to a full time role based in Swindon. The role is located within the Project Engineering team of our clients Technical Engineering department. This new role exists to primarily provide technical expertise and operational support to the company's onshore wind farm portfolio and support its strategy.

The Role:

If successful the selected candidate will be required to perform the following tasks:

* Support and advise on technical and commercial electrical issues to all parts of the business including but, not limited to: Development, Project Managers, Financial Controlling, Procurement, Operation and Maintenance, Safety and Regulatory teams;
* Responsible for managing interfaces with electrical network operators, both National Grid (NGET) and Distribution Network Operators (DNO);
* Provide, manage and conduct specialist electrical studies;
* Managing and providing technical expertise during site works; construction, commissioning etc.;
* The design and development of both grid connections and project electrical infrastructure, mitigating compliance risk (legal, regulatory, technical);
* Network operator stakeholder management; Production of technical specifications for wind turbine procurement, independent grid connections and Balance of Plant contracts;

Your Background:

Ideally you will have/be:

* Degree in recognised electrical discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Significant experience of an electrical engineering environment
* In depth experience and knowledge of electrical apparatus, equipment, technology and knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation, standards and norms
* Project Engineering
* Experience of working with Distribution and Transmission System Operators
* Strong communication skills and ability to convey key technical information to all levels of the business and external stakeholders
* Experience of contractor management and good appreciation of H&S issues is expected
* Driving licence
* Experience of working in a multi-disciplined/international team environment
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Exemplary team working skills
