"If you are looking for a role that will offer training, career progression and a job for life then look no further!"

As a business they are hugely successful, owning a UK Rail Franchise as well as several regional bus companies making them one of the largest passenger transport services companies in the UK. Right now, they need you! As a growing depot in demand, they need your talents in diagnosing and rectifying faults on their fleets to improve train turnaround times and deliver better passenger experiences.
As a Maintenance Engineer in this type of role will not only offer you immense satisfaction from working on complex engineering systems, supported by ongoing training and development, but you'll also be improving the reliability of the fleet, minimising downtime and disruption to the network. What more could you ask for?

The Depot is massive. Full of state of the art equipment, split down into two distinct workshops. The first, the "Repair Shed" run by Stuart where all the mechanical diagnostics are done. The other, the "Inspection Shed" headed up by Phil where you guessed it, electrical work is undertaken. Across both workshops you will find over 250 engineers with diverse backgrounds ranging from ex-forces to food manufacturing maintenance engineers, all delivering planned and reactive maintenance activities, fleet upgrades, modification and overhaul projects.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
This role will suit you if you like working in a fast paced environment, thrive under pressure and love to solve problems. You will be strong electrically with solid mechanical capabilities and able to keep a cool head, supporting apprentices and other engineers when required. What's more the company are committed to training, developing and progressing all of their maintenance engineers whatever route you choose to take. Finally, the company have an amazing benefit package including free travel on their passenger services and a final salary pension. Surely this is too good to be true? Nope!
You're the Maintenance Engineer I am looking for if you have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline working on high value capital equipment. The company love ex forces trained Maintenance Engineers so be sure to apply. In addition, you need to have strong problem solving capabilities-if this is you, then I want to speak with you.
