Our client manufactures various bespoke packaging equipment. The opportunity to join this ever growing, specialist manufacturer has become available due to their continuous expansion. Several forms of packaging, for many different industries are made at this site and distributed across Europe. Numerous multi-national FMCG companies use this organisation to deliver top quality packaging. Clients including various food and home care markets in the UK and abroad co insides with their many sites scattered across mainland Europe, so the opportunity to travel is there if wanted. They have more than 40 facilities across the United Kingdom and with their turnover being in the billions, they are investing heavily in new machinery and looking to recruit numerous staff members to add to their current specialist team, which will mean working on modern machinery. They have over 50,000 employees and across the many sites and need a couple of team leaders to help the business move forward.
The Role of a Maintenance Engineer (days):
As a maintenance engineer in this environment you will be working on a range of production equipment, focussing on pre-planned and reactive maintenance. They are looking for engineers to assist the Team Leaders with their focus on continuous improvement and development of the production. This will be a multi-skilled position. Electrically, the ability to work to 3phase is a must. Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics mechanically is also a necessity.
The successful Maintenance Engineer must have a strong technical background, with a related qualification in electrical engineering. Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desired. By having a history of continuous improvement and projects will make a potential candidate stand out and help with future works currently being planned at the site. Any knowledge of PLC's is an added bonus.

Salary: £26,000 - £28,500
