Managing Quantity Surveyor is required for this main contractor, working a full portfolio of projects from new build and refurbishment, of residential, commercial, healthcare and education.|
This main contractor has 150 staff, and a turnover of £60M, has a commercial management team of 10, headed up by the Business Development Director. The team is made up of a Chief Surveyor, and 8 x QS`s. The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the management and training of 4 x QS`s.
A Managing Quantity Surveyor will provide professional expertise and knowledge and assist in implementing an agreed programme for building and construction related projects. Expert knowledge and skills are required in order to generate and promote a positive.
Each surveyor will be responsible for the financial management and estimating on each contract. The Surveyor will be expected to work closely alongside the Contract Manager to ensure effective completion of projects. The surveyor will also be expected to liaise with clients to obtain details of budgets and spending requirements they have.
In summary, the Surveyor will run the financial management of their respective contracts and perform any other duties which may be deemed necessary to reach targets set.

Ensure that senior management have qualified information on the progress of each contract or commission on a regular basis.
A strong track record as a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor, with track record working in a Senior Capacity, showing the desire for a progressive career structure.
