Start date: Immediate
Rate: £14.00 - £20.00 per hour Ltd. OR £24-30,000 Dependant on experience
Duration: Temporary to permanent OR contract 12 months + OR Permanent
Location: Reading and surrounding areas
Our Client is a leading provider of mechanical and electrical engineering services to industrial and water utility companies.
They have a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer to work Thames Water projects and sites, such as Sewage Treatment / Waste WaterTreatment / Water Treatment and Pumping Stations.
Working hours are 40 hours per week plus overtime
You will typically start and finish your working day from a workshop / depot on the outside of London which is based between Reading Slough and Bracknell where you will be provided with a company van or partnered with another engineer who has a company van.
My Client is looking for multiple engineers to start immediately.
The role will include:
•Practical knowledge of engineering
•Proven track record of site installation e.g. new electrical installation and being able to fault find, repair, maintain or install (control panels & starters, generators, motors, all types of plant and equipment and pumps.)
•Mechanical Engineering background
•Good communication skills.
•Understanding and able to interpret electrical drawings
•Good knowledge of site procedures and health and safety requirements
•Ability to complete basic paperwork
The ideal candidate:
•NVQ level 3, Formal Apprenticeship, ONC, HNC, HND or similar level of qualification
•Experience working within the Water Utilities industry on Sewage Treatment Works and Sewage Pumping Stations, the pump industry or a liquid production environment such as manufacturing eg Brewery,
•City & Guilds 17th edition
•EUSR Blue Water Hygiene Card
•CSCS/IOSH working safely/CITB or equivalent.
•City & Guilds Confined space trained - essential
•Full UK Driving license - preferably up to 7.5t
Please NOTE candidates do not ned direct water or pump sector experience as training can be provided.
You will be provided with a company van + fuel card and based working a 40 hour week + overtime
