Technical Support Engineer|
My client based in Didcot is looking for a Support Engineer who will be responsible for the 'well being' of their customers worldwide.
This is an important and dynamic position within the company, as it provides the main point of contact for customers and potential customers.
The role has responsibility to ensure that customers receive answers to their questions, problems and issues promptly and clearly.
The role will provide a broad range of customer interaction, over a variety of topics, with considerable opportunity for personal career progression, and professional experience.
This will include
a. Keeping all customers under active management
Answering incoming customer questions.
Understanding customers market segment, their use of our products, and level of satisfaction with our products.
Assisting any potential new customers to understand the scope and benefits of our solutions, and to provide any requested information (e.g. quotes for product, technical documentation or worked test examples etc..)
Following up quotes with the customer to ensure they are as required, to maintain contact and understanding of the customers needs.
Acknowledging orders to customers + Keeping customers up to date on any delivery changes
b. Understanding the nature of customers more technical questions and ensuring that the appropriate member of the internal technical support network provides the requested support as detailed in the support process procedures.
Following up with each customer after each support question is answered to ensure the customer has received the information he needs.
d. Contributing to the general well being of customers and raising their profile within the company
Enthusiastic - wants to understand customers and what their needs are
Confident attitude and a willingness to develop
Not afraid of technical terms when talking to customers - willing to develop an understanding of customer requirements
Outgoing - a good telephone manner and written communication skills
Organised - able to multi task
Education - Suitable Engineering or related scientific degree/HNC
Experience of providing Customer facing support - minimum of 2 years
Worked within a company that provides actual technical products
